Founder
Stephen Saturno graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2001 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Due to a weak job market at the time, he moved up to Lake Tahoe within weeks of graduation to work and snowboard at Squaw Valley USA (for one season).
While on a lift one spring morning, he had a moment of clarity and decided to stay in Lake Tahoe instead of moving to the city. Steve worked alongside his brother, a licensed electrical and plumbing contractor, before getting hired as an engineer, designing small and large custom residential homes.
After spending a year living in Patagonia, Steve moved back to Lake Tahoe to continue his engineering career and get his Professional Engineering license in Civil Engineering. In the years after that, he worked as an engineer, with his brother on electrical and plumbing projects, framed light construction and heavy timber structures with a local contractor, and began performing home inspections. He eventually became a Certified Master Inspector, the inspection industry’s top professional designation.
After years of doing residential and commercial inspections, he expanded his business to include infrared electrical inspections of commercial and industrial buildings. Steve is a Level II Infrared Electrical Thermographer.
He started Saturno Inspections to be professional, precise, and reliable. The company is completely paperless and uses the latest software and testing instruments to perform their inspections. Saturno Inspections strives to maintain clear communication with clients, have a fast response time, and spend enough time with clients to help them understand the issues found during inspections. When Steve isn’t inspecting homes, you can find him mountain biking Lake Tahoe’s singletrack, splitboarding in the backcountry, traveling the world, or relaxing with his daughters, Olive and Alaska, and his wife, Amie.

Home Inspector
Russell Baldridge graduated from Humboldt State in 2007 with a B.A. in Political Science. After graduating, he worked in social media and software sales in Santa Barbara. Despite his success in the field, Rusty was drawn back to Lake Tahoe, where he grew up. He and his wife decided to move back to the Lake Tahoe area, where he worked construction while remodeling his own home. He then started a defensible space business to help keep his surrounding community fire-safe.
In 2019, he combined his great eye for detail with his extensive construction background to start his home inspection career. Since Russell’s family has worked in real estate in the Lake Tahoe area for over 50 years, he was already familiar with the home inspection process. He was trained by an experienced inspector looking to pass on his knowledge and eventually retire. It was immediately clear to Russell that he had found his calling. His thirst for knowledge helped him excel in the field as he learned all the technical aspects of inspecting homes. Russell enjoys informing and educating people about the homes they are buying and selling. When not working, he spends his time with his wife, dog, and daughter. He is passionate about fishing and exploring the backcountry on his bicycle and snowboard. Russell is a Certified Master Inspector and a member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors.
